Fort Spunky
On-Site Power for Data Centers: Natural Gas with Integrated Battery Storage & Electrical Distribution
POWER
Co-located power plants have traditionally supported large industrial users in prime power, supplemental, and backup applications. Challenging grid conditions, modern technologies, and increased data center growth all now combine to open the door to on-site generation for data centers.
UNINTERRUPTED DESIGN
Power availability starts at the source, which is why Pacifico Energy starts with the right site, then adds the right design.
-
All siting includes dual, redundant gas supply lines – each able to cover 100% of the load.
-
N+2 units installed, in addition to BESS support.
-
Electrical distribution accounts for any outage of any generating unit.
-
3rd party report confirming 99.99X% availability for power delivery.

With business-friendly policies, strong fiber connectivity, skilled workforce, and a low natural disaster risk profile – Dallas, Texas stands out as one of the most desirable data center markets in the U.S. today.
Located in Hood County, this Pacifico site, Fort Spunky, sits less than 40 miles from Dallas city center - offering abundant access to natural gas, water, fiber, labor, and logistical infrastructure - all of which support rapid hyperscale campus deployment.
Spanning 560+ acres, the power plant will deliver >450 MW of power to data center customers in 2028.
Representing a major development milestone, air permits for Fort Spunky have been approved, signifying the project’s ability to generate power is now secured. The site is de-risked from a permitting perspective and ready for further development.

Market Differentiators
Off-Grid, Highly-Reliable Power Supply
GW Ranch delivers 5GW of dedicated, off-grid power—combining natural gas and battery storage—to hyperscale data centers. This unique configuration eliminates dependence on the electricity grid, while providing five nines of reliability. Data center operators benefit from scale and speed not available with grid-connected projects, direct control over their energy supply, cost stability, and a future-proofed infrastructure designed for seamless expansion.
Accelerated Deployment & Regulatory Certainty
By operating entirely off-grid, GW Ranch bypasses lengthy grid interconnection processes and regulatory bottlenecks. The project’s streamlined permitting, led by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), enables a rapid development timeline: 1GW online in 2028 and full 5GW capacity by 2030. This speed-to-market gives customers a significant competitive edge in scaling AI and digital infrastructure.
